I enjoy the concept and the atmosphere. The performance feels pretty laggy, but I’m using a not-very-capable laptop. I think I might have fooled myself with the level generation algorithm – how are the stairwells supposed to work? Are they connected? At one point I was convinced I was stuck, backtracked all the way to the beginning of the second level, and then when entering the stairs I ended up on a new level. I’m wondering if I had just happened to luck into having the stairs to the next level generate in my beginning room and confused it with stairs going back.

With the run option, movement felt like it would have been fine if I wasn’t having performance issues, but the main thing that would have improved my experience was a little more indication of whether I was making progress.

I had fun, thanks!

I really like the 3d-style walls! I have to agree that the gunners are pretty difficult to handle. Is there a headshot system? I feel like sometimes I was killing them in one hit and sometimes it took two. I’d also say the levels feel pretty big for how slowly you move, if I went down a dead end it’d take a while to get back even though there were probably no enemies there anymore, which was extra punishing with the difficulty

Level size is definitely big right now. As with every 7DRL, we had grand plans and ended up not having time to do everything.

Since it's stealth-based but lets you switch to loud running, it's hard to decide what "too slow" is for move speed, but I sympathize with the long corridor walks issue.

That’s completely on me, I missed the run button. Ok, you can ignore that part of the feedback :) I just played a bit more with run on and it feels a lot faster

Super cool atmoshpere and claustrophobic gameplay. I liked that I had to conserve my ammo and use my health as a currency (risk/reward). I did not stand a chance against the shotgunners so far, tho. Nice entry!

Yeah, the gunners are scary! Basically hiding behind walls and waiting for them to come to you is the only way I've found through them.
