I think you should start popping up enemies early. I understand that most shootem ups have that grace period when you first start but that is because it is real time. The break between waves gives you a chance to recover. In a turn based game I don't think it is needed.

I didn't like my first run but the second run was more fun. I didn't find the guided missile that interesting but maybe I just need to play around with it some more.

Thanks! I am going to fiddle with how soon enemies first appear, I agree it takes too long currently.


The guided missile is kind of finicky to use so I  may retool it in a future update.
