Really good message, I like how you touched on a more serious topic as a visual novel. However I think the art and the writing takes away from the serious message a little bit, more time could have been spent into working on that I think. I agree with Marvin in saying that some things that were said were a bit repetitive.  The color palette becoming the trans flag is a cool little detail.

I appreciate the fact that you guys decided to tackle a more serious topic in your game, as that's not something I've seen from anyone else in this class. And of course as a trans guy I appreciate the subject even more, however I feel like it's an extremely nuanced topic to try to tackle during a two week game jam, and in an attempt to simplify it for the sake of time and resources, you lose a lot of the nuance that is necessary to making your tone and overall narrative work. Some of the dialogue is very repetitive, and personally, I feel like your art style clashes with the more serious tone (though I do like the way the color palette evolves throughout the game). Overall, I really admire the effort that was made here, but the execution falls somewhat flat.

P.S. you don't have a character limit on the main character's name

Not the biggest fan of the art style, it felt like it was made in just a few minutes. The writing however, was beautiful, and the environments were well made

Not my cup of tea, but good writing.

Nice game but the browser's stability is lacking.

tasteful and elegant, at points felt a little heavy on exposition and devoid of emphasis on adversity, but it was cute and wholesome!!! love the art too <3

Can you elaborate more on what specifically made you feel like the game was"a little heavy on exposition and devoid of emphasis on adversity"? As it says on the Itch page, we're planning to continue working on the game at a later date, and we would love to take your feedback into consideration!

for sure! A lot of the exposition worked well, and it's a useful device, but at points during the mirror scenes it felt forced. There might be some ways to show and not tell a little bit more about the character's identity. I think even shifting to the second person during that scene with the exact same dialogue would help, leaving it isn't a problem either! With the adversity thing, it just felt a little flat, it felt like it wanted to lean into the conflict and internal struggles a bit more but there wasn't any external homophobia/transphobia and the focus on internalization of it wasn't fleshed out to a point where it felt like it had a lot of stakes. This is really critical but overall the story was excellent and I loved it so much!!! It's amazing, truly.
