The creepy crying sound effect towards the end caught me off guard and kinda freaked me out. I really liked the pacing of the game. I never felt bored wandering around trying to figure out what to do which usually happens to me with these types of games. This one was short and straight to the point.
What I didn't like was the graphics. It's not that they're bad, but it would've been a lot better if you would've used lower resolution unfiltered textures to be more true to the psx theme. I think it could have added to the creepyness of the atmosphere, leaving a lot of the detail to the players imagination. Those randomly rotated wooden floorboards were pretty jarring.
The lighting was also pretty bad. It was extremely bright in some areas and made some textures look completely white. I think you should have just baked the lighting and gone for a much darker look overall.
But graphics issues aside, you did a great job in such a short amount of time. According to your submission time you did this all in 3 hours? I would have liked to see how much more you could have polished this if you spent more time on it
