List any content that was created before the jam.
Landscape material, floor/roof materials, and foliage are from "Stylized Egypt" in the Permanently free collection.
Underwater rocks and foliage are from the "Reef kit", sponsored content for May 2022.
The water shader is a modified version of the "Cartoon Water Shader", sponsored content for August 2022.
The sofa burning effect is from "Character Appearance and Dissolve", sponsored content for November 2021.
The audio effects and the music are from https://www.weloveindies.com obtained with the coupon in the Jam page.
The stylized trees were previously realized by me when I took a course to create stylized assets.
The billiard balls are based on this model from Sketchfab (https://bit.ly/3Qg64l4) but I ended up using only the textures because the material required many edits and the pivot was not where I needed it to be)
The tulips are from Sketchfab (https://bit.ly/3CQC4ZU)

The character uses the UE5 first person template with the skeletal mesh and animation from the UE5 third person template (not visible in game, used only for shadows).

Paintings in the walls and achievements images are realized with a licensed commercial version of Midjourney AI (realized for the jam).
Everything else has been modeled with Blender during the time of the jam.

get stuck at the very first door,it only opens a half for some reason and I cannot get through it!

Developer

Are you having a low framerate? Did you try a second time?
A friend told me the same thing about another door but I wasn't able to reproduce it on my pc.
However, I'm planning to release an update to fix several issues as soon as I have some time to dedicate to this project!
I'm really sorry for the issue!

yes!I'm running on a mx150 with pretty low frame rate and it happens every time (I tried 5 times)!

I also thought the low frame rate may have something to do with this problem....

and  thank you for the fast responds! once again, it is a great game!

Developer

I'm sorry I made you waste your time trying again for five times 😅.

I'm using timelines to open doors and they shouldn't be frame dependent, but apparently this issue only occurs at low fps.

I'll release a version without lumen too, it should be able to increase the performance.

Than you again for your kind words, I'll try your game as soon as I have some spare time!

Is that possible to run the game in lower resolution like 720p or lower? that may be an easier way to increase the frame rate

The idea is pretty good and visuals are really great. The music also good, but it could have been fun if there was different on top and under water. I am not sure there is a final goal with this game, and if there is I don't now what it is. It was also a bit weird that I can't swim up and down when pressing the w key. Overall is this a good jam game.

Thank you for your feedback! I wish I had more time to improve  it, at the beginning I was planning to create different buildings and a story (narrated through the achievements) to the game but I had to focus on the modelling and the game mechanics and a week really flied away a blink of an eye. I also spent too much time implementing the achievements (it's was my first time using AWS and I couldn't even figure how to package a game from command line, and UE5 wasn't even supported by their plugin so I had to update it 🤣)

The "final goal" (if you can call it like that) is to gather all the billiard balls hidden in the house, if you see the speedrun video linked in the game page you can see the achievements (login is required in order to see them, this is a big limitation), also seeing the list of the achievements and their description should guide the player through the exploration (and this doesn't happen if you don't even see them)

The fact that you can swim up and down with the W is a wanted thing, but you are probably right, it could be confusing!
Thanks for playing!

I like it! The music really heightens the mood and plays into the mysterious feeling the game evokes.

Such an incredibly strong use of the theme in this game, it's a lovely concept. I especially enjoyed how the jelly fish light fixtures were translated in the upside down! Great work!
