Haha, fun game for sure. I was cracking up when I first saw Pebble run. The jumps at low speed are difficult to pull off, but with good timing it all works. I love the UI design too.

The movement is so fun and unique, maybe the jump could also have a little bit of forward velocity tho.

I really like your main menu screen and the way it animates when you hold down the respective buttons. The assets in general are really good.

I think the only thing I would improve on is the collision of the cactus. I couldn't really tell where the hitbox was or wasn't.

Developer

I appreciate the feedback :D The collisions were generalized a bit so that's definitely something that could be fixed up with a bit of polish.

Nice use of the 2 buttons! As another comment here, the blue orb felt more a debuff than a buff :)

The graphic is really cute. It's a clever way of using 2 buttons to control the speed of the movement and allow jumping. Wish the cacti were smaller--so requires less precision of the timing to jump over--at the beginning and only gradually increase the size to the normal as the game progresses, so I could get to see more of your game. I am a slooow non-gamer.   :D

Thank you so much! Alex did some amazing work on the art for this!

That's a pretty solid suggestion! I'll definitely consider that since it wouldn't be too difficult to patch in :)

Its a funny game :D The speed boost is for me more a punishment because i run everytime in the obstacle xD

Developer

The speed boost is definitely an unexpected added difficulty. Sometimes it's nice when there's space, and other times, it sends the player hurtling into a cactus. Will definitely be spending some time tweaking how they get placed in the levels
