awesome suika-like!!! super simple and easy to pick up, very unique take on an oversaturated genre, it feels very fun. the physics on the balls was a little weird to me at some points where the sheer might of friction was able to hold up a massive stack out of nowhere, but aside from that it basically functioned as i expected and was very fun. i do wonder what the most optimal score is, and i may just have to try and get it.

Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! You're absolutely right about the physics, sometimes I ask myself the same question and never get an answer either, but I’ll definitely take another look!

As for the optimal score, things really start to get serious after 9,500 points. My personal record is 12,964, and I definitely see room for improvement! If you're curious, I've listed the merge values on the game's page if you want to check them out for a bit of strategy

Cool gameidea, haven't seen a mix of 2048 and suika game yet. It's easy to get into wich is a definitly a plus for jam games. Only thing that bothered me was that balls were often touching yet didn't combine which makes it kind of frustrating.

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words! We’re really glad the idea clicked with you the same way it did for us. As you mentioned, we’ve also fixed the issue with the balls not combining when they touched, so it should feel much smoother now.

Have some problem with physics, but it so good.

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear you enjoyed it! Yeah, the physics part gave us a bit of a headache too, but we’ve put out an update that should smooth things out a bit. Hope it feels better now!

Merge Tower feels like an alternative Suika game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It looks like the majority of the mess in the game resulted from the “physics” engine of the engine you use, which is unfortunate.

I got to over 100,000 scores within a few minutes and even created a ball with a 2048 score on it, which was exciting!

Thank you so much for playing Merge Tower and sharing your feedback! It means a lot coming from someone we look up to.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed it! It’s clear we might have been a bit too generous with the difficulty, though we didn’t expect anyone to rack up 100,000 points so quickly! We'll definitely work on tweaking the game's difficulty to make it even more engaging.

As for the physics issues, you’re absolutely right. We’re still wrapping our heads around its complexities, and it's proving to be a bit trickier than we thought.

Thanks again for your support and feedback. It really motivates us to keep pushing forward!
