Great music specially, and lovely art (Specially the map). Short experience but gets the point across, nice job!

Developer

Appreciate it!!!

great game, love the art! Now that Jack Drope has liberated the oil rig he could use this as a mobile base of operations for his private military, a group without borders, providing their services to all clients, regardless of nation or ideology.

What was there name again?

Developer(+2)

An army without a nation, drops without borders, their quality defined by the river they come from

Cool game! The character sprites are done well and the music fits perfectly. I think the camera could have been a little better if it was more in front of the player (depending on the players direction or if they're jumping) to see where you're going or see the enemies walking towards you.

Great idea! Gonna figure out how to do that lol

Appreciate it! It was almost entirely Sin's doing, besides the tileset we used

It's one of my favorites, I think there's something I just really like about it. When I saw even the beginning of the level and how it looked and the concept I liked it immediately. I like the whole design and look of the level throughout both how it looks and how it feels, there's just like something about it I really like. The feel of the jumping and movement is also pretty good.

I like the different sounds and screens when you die in a different way.

One thing is I think waiting for the death screen first time is interesting, but after that I think it is too long and I think it could get too repetitive, I think to improve it there should be some way to skip it when pressing space.

Another thing is there's some minor things I think like some stuff may be bleeding in the graphics or something especially towards the beginning near the first guard, but overall I think it's one of my favorites.

Developer(+1)

Can you send me a screenshot or recording of that color bleeding, i didnt see any when i tested

Submitted(+1)

I remembered this game because I really liked it a lot, so I played it again just now. I actually could not see the bleeding anymore for some reason.

Since submissions are still locked even now, an update to the game was impossible. So I think the issue may be very rare, or maybe was some temporary issue with my browser or something like that.

In case I ever see it again or can reproduce it again I may try and send you a screenshot, but my guess is it might have been some one time issue on my end.

I reproduced it now after checking on it some more. I think it probably has something to do with the enemy animation and you moving at the same time as it only shows up near the enemy, only sometimes, and usually while you are moving (though it may have happened to me before when staying still too occasionally). Here is a gif with the frames paused where it's happening for emphasis.

I geniunely have no idea why this might be happening... probably something with godot itself?
