I did one playthrough and it was on the hardest difficulty. It was slightly satisfying overall, with some particularly fun moments (Gauntlet 3), some really awful ones (Missile Ride), and quite a few things that just felt lame (all the bosses). As a masochistic gamer I was able to enjoy it, but I wouldn't play it again.
