This is my honest-yet-gentle review of Santigo Bay. It's meant to help you, the author, to iterate the game if you want to do it. I gave it 5 stars so it doesn't mess with your Itch algorithm, but the real thing starts below. Disclaimer: I really don't wish to be rude in any way with you. So if my review is just bulshit, please ignore it all.
⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
What I enjoyed:
I had a ton of fun writing the Journal. It felt like an anime director simulator. I imagined the camera angles, the vintage vhs sfx, the songs, like I was directing an anime ending song shot. I also loved the romance focus of it. So different from the major RPG experience. I started playing it alone drinking an iced mocha on Dunkin Donuts. So, yeah, I loved it.
What could be improved:
I missed the game element. It felt more like a creative writing exercise than as a proper game. No need for a win/lose condition, but when I play a game, I expect it to present me challenges and consequences. I also think it could have more random tables to help us create our own thing.
And at last, I couldn't listen to the youtube playlist cause I'e played it on my phone. Everytime I was back to read the next step on the pdf, youtube stoped playing the playlist because it was on the background. I used a Spotify playlist instead.

Final thougths
The game really spoke to me cause it brought back sweet memories of my childhood afternoons watching animes. It could add more gaming mechanics, but overall it was a very fun experiece.
