I absolutely adore this.

I love the way that there were no compromises to character; they were fiercely their own people from the get go.

I love that there was no tip-toeing around dark subjects too. Obviously its a horror VN so there was bound to be (in this case) murder, gore, corruption, and all that jazz... but it also touched on quite a few other taboo subjects without shying away from them. Which is frankly refreshing nowadays.

And I love the worldbuilding. I'm still completely intrigued about what went on, and although I would have loved more explanations and lore, I can also just bask in the mystery - I think maybe that's the point. Not everything can be explained away, nor should it be.

August owned my entire ass from start to finish - even when he popped up in other routes he was a real scene stealer for me.
