Rough around the edges, but a good throwback RPG.
It certainly feels very much like Ultima, exploring, looking for clues, taking notes, etc., and it does feel great when you work something out by yourself, even if that can also generate a lot of frustration.
I do recommend taking notes and annotating a map (not possible in-game), otherwise you'll get lost.
The writing is rather poor, including some contradictory information from NPCs, where one will tell you some place is NW, and another one will tell you the same place is SE, along with some typos.
The game certainly needs a manual of some kind. As it is you're left to your own devices, with no real online resources, when it comes to guessing what the characters' stats do. The songs your bard can sing are never given a description, and their effects are most of the time not obvious at all, whereas the spells are all clearly labelled. Why?
Overall the game is enjoyable and I do recommend it, but lacks polish and is too obtuse in some aspects.
