PublicLewdness rated Please Follow

PublicLewdness rated a interactive experience 4 years ago
A downloadable interactive experience for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Please Follow improved over the original which is almost all I can ask of a sequel. It had a more coherent narrative which was better explained. It still had a very creepy atmosphere and great sound design. The PS1 style graphics are what they are but I will say they made some of the text when you get hit with the spores hard to read. There were also puzzles which did a nice job of breaking up the walking without getting into hardcore puzzle territory.

I played Please Follow on Linux. It never crashed on me and I didn’t notice any bugs or issues. There is no save feature but with the length of the game it isn’t an issue. Alt-Tab didn’t work. There is just one graphics option and your resolution choice. Performance was fantastic but given the low graphical detail that is to be expected.

Game Engine: Unity
Graphics API: OpenGL
Game Version Played: 1.0.1

Game Settings Used: Ultra, 1920x1080
GPU Usage: 0-53 %
VRAM Usage: 688-873 MB
CPU Usage: 6-9 %
RAM Usage: 2.4-2.6 GB
Frame Rate: 143-144 FPS

If this is any indication of progress then by the next sequel there may be better defined characters and an even more expanded story. As it is this is still a good jump from the original please. I paid $2.75 CAD for Please Follows and finished it in 23 minutes which is decent value.

My Score: 7/10
