Very well-crafted walking simulator about dealing with loss, grief and past mistakes. It's fairly short, but don't let that stop you; it's got a decent replay value(different conversation paths, exploration, (steam) achievements) and it's absolutely well worth it's price.
It's a very immersive setting; the world feels just right with the wind blowing through the trees and the animals calmly walking around in the background. Conversations with other people are very natural, unlike many other games speech flows naturally and realistically. It actually feels like you're talking to another person. That said, the story is sad / hard to swallow, and it does a real good job at making you feel like you are the main character. I wrote this review right after playing the game and I still felt a little dazed for a good hour afterwards. It's still on my mind a few days later.
There are a few caveats (minor); the conversation options are sometimes grayed out, it wasn't clear to me if these aren't available due to the path I chose, or that they are 'thoughts' by the character and considered inappropriate to say. You can click them but you'll hear the characters reluctancy and will need to choose a different option. There are also a few minor bugs, but none that break up the flow of the game or the immersion.
I'd highly recommend this game if you also liked games like Firewatch. It's got compelling and believable storytelling, great attention to detail on the sound/environment/interaction design and an interesting story. In my opinion it's very much a worthy addition to your games library.
