(Aug 8, 2021) I played the demo, and want to play it a bit more. It looks and controls okay on keyboard, but needs more interface and control work to make the last two stars for me. I'm generous, because I like games with deeper simulation to them, and I'm hoping this one delivers.
Some recommendations:
- Mouse controls in as many places as possible. Notably, being able to info-click a tile or have contextual use/pickup dialogs appear similar to looting would be great. This would be great for doors and usable objects.
- I'm not sure if the game has much in the ways of dialogue or events, but I would hope the final game isn't just a survival grind to some cap or end. I want to find allies, make people flee and vow revenge, or perhaps even suffer betrayals. I don't mind a hard game, but I want as many paths to victory or ways to tell a story though the game as possible.
- Sorting items and other quality of life for managing inventory. A lot of my time is spent ferrying stuff back and forth.
