I really enjoyed this!

I feel like I understand why people might choose to study nature for a living. I could vividly imagine these places (even if I didn't always get what was going on in the story). I like the idea of just going off the grid and appreciating the complexity of the natural world. I can remember going camping and being out among the trees, passing the shoreline and stopping at farmers' stalls miles out on dusty dirt roads. The ice cream cones we'd eat after swimming tasted better than when we were back home.

The sounds were all much softer. We didn't have to worry about the time passing.
