MidnightFedora rated Insect Run

A browser game made in HTML5.

I has some fun playing this! There's quite a few bugs- pun unintended- the most frustrating of which being that the score regularly shows as being a lot lower that it was when playing, but I also really liked how there were different bugs with different abilities that encouraged a lot of play-styles. For me FlutterButter was by far the most fun to play as: I found the controls to be very responsive and it was a good balance of risk and reward, with being able to fly high to avoid the obstacles, but having to go down to get food or items regularly. Some of the problems included the game ending unexpectedly without running out of hunger or touching anything, getting stuck on rocks or leaves, and the sound settings don't work. But looking past the bugs, I can see a lot of potential for this game. The core gameplay has a simple but good appeal to it, and I spent a couple of hours trying to get a higher score. Aesthetic wise, the music is lovely and I really like how it builds in intensity. The visuals feel like they're the start of something that is cohesive and creates a nice atmosphere. If you develop this further, I'd like to see where it goes. I do have some other thoughts and feedback, but I don't want to overwhelm, so I'll leave it at that.
