This game is the best chess game I've played. No, seriously. By giving the pieces hp, it reduces punishment on players when they mess up, making the game less frustrating!

I like the story, it always makes me chuckle between campaign games.

The differences between the different countries seem fairly well balanced while still being substantial.

The piece animations are perfect <3

My only real issue with this game is that it wasn't clear that the versus mode defaults to local multiplayer, not AI.

The main gameplay loop is solid and fun - all it needs is a bit more polish - I can't wait to see what this game is like in a few months!
