Undead Sailor rated Five Normal Nights At The Burger Burger Pizzeria

A downloadable game for Windows.

I liked the aesthetic and the ambience, but the implied dangers and twist ended up being a little disappointing (though it was a bit comical). I felt like this game had potential that it fell short of, either as a horror or comedy game.

I liked the art style and the robots were cute. The detail put into this game was commendable. I liked being able to leave the room to walk around and interact with robots and objects. The little vacuum robots were a nice touch, too. The sound effects implemented into the background were what scared me because it's like walking in an empty parking lot at night and hearing scraping metal from a cat in a trash can. You know there's no immediate danger but it startles you anyway.

Spoilers:

I guessed about halfway through that this game was either purposefully messing with me or simply unfinished. The former is correct. It isn't a horror game, though it captures the atmosphere of one well. While I wished the game had more to it, I did like how the "phone guy" ended up being a conspiracy theorist manager who broke things and got fired, which just solidified the idea that there really wasn't anything wrong with the the pizzeria.

**

Overall, it's a neat little game and I'd recommend it just for the experience of walking around a creepy, mostly empty pizzeria, but as far as scares go, you won't find any here.
