This game was so sweet and heartwarming! What a wonderful look at close friends, and what a great gift to have among indie visual novels - I can't think of any others off the top of my head that address Ramadan, let alone make it feel so natural to the audience and the story alike. I loved Amira - her voice was so authentic and natural that I almost wonder if someone on the staff is South Asian Muslim (and if not, props to y'all for capturing that specific voice and experience).
Jessica was equally great, too; her phone conversations with her mom were consistently hilarious, and I appreciated how the game acknowledged Jessica and Amira getting seed money from her mom too! The story was very aware of intersectionality and the struggles of being Asian American, and I don't think that was a coincidence.
If the main 'Call Me Cera' ends up being as thoughtful, loving, and heartwarming as this vignette, I think you all will have a wonderful game on your hands! This was absolutely, absolutely worth the time to play - thank you for sharing this with us, and Ramadan Mubarak, everyone!!
