- I feel like a lot of the game is more tell than show. Like often times the game will explain how the characters are feeling and what you're supposed to get from the story rather than letting you figure it out.

The game had lots of on point messages about how it feels to grow up Asian American/ the Asian American experience but I felt the execution was lacking in a way. As someone who is Asian American, the messages resonated with me but at the same time I felt nothing. This might be due to how the dialogue is more tell than show. It tells me how I'm supposed to feel rather than letting me draw my own conclusion.

Also the way the dialogue was written felt a bit off, like it didn't feel like genuine people were talking. I guess it is a bit due to the tell not show nature of the game. (I understand that Visual Novels do have to rely on writing at some points but it is also important to let the audience have their own takeaways from the game.

Also, this might be due to the game trying to replicate the structure of a late night chat but the game's narrative felt like it jumped around a lot. Being allowed to pick at random which constellation to work on next made the game jump back and forth between many points. At one point, it would talking about June and her mom but then after it would talk about Miles and June's Relationship and etc.. It felt jarring to jump between many different points so suddenly. Even though they talked about important topics, you never got to fully process them before having to focus on another.

Overall, I still liked the game. I think it has a lot potential as the premise is interesting. It also has good ideas that will definitely resonate with people but execution needs a bit more work. I appreciate the hard work that went into the game and look forward to seeing what comes next.
