simple and atmospheric. foreshadowing is wonderful, i knew from the first few clues something wasn't quite right, but i didn't understand until the resolution. intuitive and well-made gameplay, it's very simple but offers no hints, instead allowing you to work things out for yourself. despite this, it isn't too confusing - maybe if the range of the lighthouse's sound was extended a little, or something like footprints on the ground would help guide those who need a bit more help. all in all i really enjoyed this experience, and i would recommend it to those who enjoy horror without true jumpscares, gore, or dark spaces! half the time i was hiding behind my hands despite it being an empty forest, if you need a testament to its spookiness. (plus: the addition of a trans protagonist made me happy. i saw the dress clue and i instantly started smiling <3)
