This is a really creative and interestingly different TTRPG. I'm looking forward to seeing how the full version shakes out!
Positives for me: The worldbuilding is wonderful, and paints a picture of a delightful, Miyazaki-esque pastoral landscape. The tone-setting by emphasizing that everyone is fundamentally good and the problems that will arise are smaller slice-of-life issues is excellent. The playbooks are unique and spark all kinds of fun character ideas. The tools for building up the Natures were also really fun and felt a bit like a mini-session of Microscope.
Points of criticism: The typesetting is a bit cramped in places, especially the playbooks, which makes them rather difficult to read. Also, our group found it rather difficult to get a sense for the flow of play – the playbook abilities felt like they didn't really jive with the scenario we generated, and for some reason it was hard to feel motivated to do the things that lead to exchanges of tokens; we spent most of the session in free role-play rather than engaging with the game mechanics. An extended example of play in the rulebook would help a lot to get a feel for how the game is designed to run.
All in all, I'd love to play this again, but I'll probably wait for the full ruleset first.
