A great game, but with a few damn rough edges. When it sticks to its time travel mechanic it's damn amazing, the exploration is fun too with ok enemies. When it does traditional metroidvania abilities it's rough. The dodge triggers sometimes and some of those times it will even trigger in the right direction. And this is not just a combat dodge but used to get past traditional metroidvania obstacles as well. The wall jump is the roughest I've ever seen. I've spent 5+ minutes at some wall jump challenges & not like in Guacamelee! where the challenges require some damn pin-point precision, but just because the wall jump (and dodge as you often need to combine them) will not trigger. Those are big points. That said, I'm still giving this game a good score because at it's core it's a fantastic game & the final boss really well designed.
