I must admit it's a bit hard to ignore stuff like the reused assets such as music and sprites, the inconsistent difficulty, some of the on the nose references like Axis quoting Sans, the sometimes too high enemy count in certain areas...
It's flawed in many little ways, and yet...
I was enthralled the whole way up until what's currently available (day 2). I really enjoy the concept and narratively the game does some very nice moves, despite the occasional hiccup (Chujin's past specially feels explained too hastily).
Although what takes the cake for me is, of course, Kanako and Cole. I think it takes a lot for me to feel as attached to some characters as Deltarune does with Susie and Kris, and that's extremely commendable.
If I could personally tell the creator thank you, I would, and I can't wait to see what's next for this project!
