With an assembly not unlike the acclaimed 'Slime Feet', 'No Matter How Strange' centers around an obsessed fan's experiences with a model. Opening with an appreciation for her artistry, then halfhearted-disappointment about her adult work, then gradually circling into acutely personal details, the marketing of self, boisterously manipulative sex, and slow-mounting violence.

It is intense and stark; I read this one very late at night, excited for its release, when its sole audio component — labored breathing — was particularly effective.
