I tried the game, nice work. I can see that you are motivated to improve it and experiment with different things. I especially liked the shooting feel and the zoom-in animations; they add a nice action feeling to the game.
I have a few suggestions:
Did you create the visual assets yourself? If yes, I would recommend checking free assets on Itch.io or asset packs from places like the Unity Asset Store. Better visual assets could improve the presentation of the game quite quickly.
The main menu currently feels a bit like the buttons and information are placed randomly on the screen. I think arranging them in a cleaner order would make it look much better. I also wouldn't recommend filling the whole screen with text; a simpler and more readable menu would feel more polished.
I think the "How to Play" pop-up would work better after the game starts, instead of showing it directly in the main menu. That way, the menu becomes cleaner, and the player learns the controls at a more natural moment. You can check out my game "Faint Souls" on my profile to see how I did this at the beggining of the game.
When I hit an enemy, I think there should be clearer feedback. For example, a small explosion, hit flash, particle effect, or sound effect would help a lot. You could also try adding HP bars to enemies, but at minimum, a hit effect feels necessary. The player should clearly feel that the enemy was hit and damaged.
Overall, I can see the effort and motivation behind the project. My main suggestion would be to study and imitate some common game structures before trying too many new ideas. Things like menu layout, game feedback, enemy hit reactions, and UI structure are important foundations. Once those core parts feel solid, the unique ideas will work much better.
Also, if you use an Android phone, you can find my game on my profile, or by searching "Starlane" on Google Play. I would be happy to read your thoughts if you have time to try it.
Good luck with the project, and keep going!
