This game is everything I look for in a well made indie game; It has individual dialogue and voice acting, intentional sound design, a strong sense of suspense, a strong storyline, multiple endings, well placed jumpscares and a great script. The first point I would like to make about this game is the first cutscene, showing it from the killers point of view shows the player what to expect and just the voice acting and animation shown on the tv is really well done. After the scene is set and you realize you're a delivery worker who's job is to hand deliver food to different characters in the apartment, you are met with a plethora of different people at each door all with completely unique voice acting, dialogue, personality's and character models. Introducing all of these characters gives the player a wide choice of options and theory's for who the killer is and who might save them. This, combined with the small instances you see the killer and realize you're in the same apartment as him make for a great way of building suspense for when you face him. Even just the map design and how each staircase and floor are so narrow means that every single turn could have a jumpscare makes for a much more tense experience. The sound design as well is done extremely well for example the random screams you hear throughout the game, heavy footsteps when the killer is near and the loud breathing heard when you walk past the photographer, all of these aspects combined make for a very well designed suspense builder which then transitions into you meeting the killer which in my opinion happens a tiny bit too soon but still well paced reveal. Then the chase scene where you see all kinds of uniqueness and mystery, although I like the idea of the chase scene I think the sudden steep in difficulty means most average players are going to end up replaying the scene a few times which might take some of the initial fright you get from the first time. But with this considered I still believe the chase was done well and was a good end to the "killers" reign. The final thing I would like to talk about is the outro scene, It does a very good job at giving potential for different theory's and adding and clarifying the story. Once again the voice acting and animation is done so well and bonus points for the multiple endings and jazz music.
Atmosphere 4.1/5 - Felt involved in the main characters world
Sound Design 4.6/5 - Very well done and fitted, couldn't ask for much more
Scares 4.4/5 - First scare was pretty funny but scary to be fair
Pacing 4.1/5 - Fell of a bit at the end, felt a little rushed
Ending/Endings 3.8/5 - Not to different from each other quite standard
Voice Acting/Dialogue and Script writings 5/5 - Fitted the characters perfectly
Characters 4/5 - Well modeled but the killer felt generic
Overall 4.3/5 - A bit harsh I'd round up to a 5
