P. Moondae rated Infatuation Inferno

P. Moondae rated a game 15 days ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

The art is nice, the expressions on the yandere love interest are really well done. There isn't much to it story-wise; you pick one of two choices and that's it.

The impact is also weakened with Vergil telling you everything instead of actions playing out in the game or things being revealed gradually.

The 'no' ending feels like the 'correct' ending because there's no relationship progression; a guy you saved once and canonically barely interacted with after that comes to your house, trauma-dumps on you, and then asks you to be with him forever. There's little to show why the player character would accept that other than liking dark romance fiction, but people who consume that content know that there's a huge difference between liking it in fiction and in reality. So saying 'yes' feels forced and unnatural. It would be interesting to see the story more fleshed out.

Still, I admire the effort that went into this game and I appreciate how cool the character design is.
