An amazing story about a female character's struggles with autonomy, feelings of belonging, loss, and grief. The art is beautiful, I can recognize the improvement from the prequel "Where the two flowers meet". The interactions between the characters were entertaining to follow. Asa was an awesome protagonist, her raw emotions, especially during the plot reveals, were quite emotional and memorable, I had goosebumps and kept sighing heavily lol
Besides her, I think my fav character from the game is Leia, I loved her progression as a character, how separated she was from the main plot at the beginning of the story and with the progressing of the story witnessing how more involved she became and how she kept sticking to her values made me gush over my queen!! I liked even how her relationship with Asa developed, I liked that Leia became the support system she needed for a long time, that even Cyrilla, Asa's childhood friend I would say never became that stable support system Asa needed (at least during the game events). One gripe that I have with this game that I feel like some characters were more developed than the other throughout the story, so I was left with questions and unsatisfaction for the lack of knowledge and connection with some of the characters. I would include here Makoto, Miller, Arvin, even Cyrilla( for her I would say, I wish we got more backstory on her family's background, since her keen eye for solving mysteries and even having the instinct to steal the DNA, it is hard to imagine a kid of her age just coming up with these kind of decisions on her own and even her return later in the story was shallow for me, probably cause her and Asa never had a proper bonding moment, which is why I liked one of the endings that revolved around Cyrilla's actions cause I was able to see how in depth her emotions were for Asa).
The UI was aesthetically pleasing and it fit with the visuals of the story. I liked the endings and the cameos from the prequel. I wasn't as emotionally connected with this story, the pacing of it, as with the prequel, unfortunately, but I do love this world from the creator that I can still appreciate the good parts of the story, and it is great to witness the shutdown of the project lmao
Last thing, I wish we had more sci-fi moments shown, especially a few more cgs that showed Asa's condition or sprites, cause I was invested in these moments quite a lot, and I liked how much more we had in this game specified interpretation and explained to us during monologue and from the characters that I wished it was shown at least a bit more visually. Thank you creator, for making this amazing series, it has been a fun past time for me these days! Excited to play the sequel next these days! <3
