Okay let me tell you something about this game.

I started playing this in 2024 because I was trying to get into gaming and what I felt most comfortable with was queer stories.

So I stumbled onto this game because I was intrigued bcs I have a huge love for fairytales and spins on them.

And when I tell you I had no idea what to expect, I mean it. 

I'm totally not a person that's into horror because it freaks me out so much but this game had me on the edge of my seat every time I played it.

Every loop had me questing myself if I should continue playing this because everything that happened throughout it had me freaked out SO MUCH yet I HAVE to know what happens next. I am so incredibly invested in these characters and the stories they have shared and how they came to be in position they were in the horror wonderland.

I want to know how this place came to be and why it is the way it is now. 

There were multiple times where I had to stop playing because I was getting goosebumps and the creeps from the way they tortured themselves and each other. 

But just like how Iggy somehow keeps going back to this place no matter if a voice inside him says not to I keep doing the same. This story has me in it's grip and has genuinely impacted me since I regularly keep thinking "shit I still haven't finished this game I want to know how it ends".

Every loop I root for them to be okay and finally get out of there and I truly feel like I am there with them every step they take, which means I can't play this in the evening/at night/ when I'm alone because I can feel the thing they just did to themselves. That's just how well it's written and the art brings the story to life.

This is genuinely an amazing game and it feels way too underrated for what it is. I have never been so disturbed yet enchanted by a game as this one.

And then I haven't even mentioned the music! By god the music is amazing I even added the one where Iggy is working to my study playlist I use and it made me realize that type of music helps me focus. Besides that there's so many motifs and eery music beffiting with what's happening in the story and some of the music has genuinely created a Pavlov reaction cause when I hear it I immediately feel unsettled bcs it reminds me of certain parts of the story.

All of this to say this has been the most amazing game I have ever played everything about it is brought with care, I feel for the characters, I feel with the story I keep being invested and it's all due the amazing storytelling, art (it even made me pick up drawing again cause I wanted to draw certain art works in the game) and music and everything else made to bring this story to life. 

I hope to finish it soon and give an updated review (which seems like a crazy thing to say since I started it 2 years ago) bcs it truly is an amazing piece of art.

I wanted to write this review now even though I haven't finished it yet, bcs you truly deserve this praise and to know how much this creation of yours has stayed with me.
