Interesting start! I'm not usually one for high fantasy political stuff, but the setting so far seems grounded and contained enough that I don't feel like I have to dedicate an entire section of my brain towards memorizing fictitious wars and dates and names and yadda yadda yadda. The small cast makes it easy to understand who everyone is and how they feel about each other in a way that still maintains that sense of "everyone's just waiting to stab each other in the back"; although some of that does fall flat thanks to some weird prose that could probably use another round of editing. I believe I understand everybody's roles and motives pretty well, but there are a few contradictions, like Zephim's dislike of polite speech against him beating around the bush with his brother, that kind of weaken their identities a bit.
On the presentation side, I'm very fond of the dynamic text boxes and the unusual framing during scenes like the dinner and Zephim and Ahim's argument. Unfortunately, a lot of it is undermined by the fact that there's hardly any fades between scenes and how the text appears immediately after you click. It's hard to tell if Ahim saying "I can get us food with a snap of my fingers" and then smash-cutting to them at a dinner table is meant to be a gag or proof that Ahim literally does have food-summoning powers. I think some scrolling text and some fade-ins and fade-outs would improve the pacing and the tone of the dialogue by a lot. I DO love the artstyle, though--Ahim's menace comes through perfectly through his expressions and his posing.
All that said, I'm excited to see more. You've drawn me into this world and I WILL be drawing Livet fanart if the next update doesn't come soon enough. Or if it does. I'm drawing snep muscles either way.
