Overall decent for what it brings to the table in form of raycasting and tilesets. Found that the aim_types being 'not coded in' or removed was a bit lackluster. Also, the fact the template has semi coded result screens, yet it showed a working one in the screenshot was a bit misleading. Yet this is from aa good while ago so I'm not aware how often it is updated. The enemy sprites can be found on Opengameart.org as well as a few other aspects of the 'template'.
Made a small game from it, so cant say it wasn't worth the trial test.
