I've been playing lots of solo journaling RPGs lately, and have wanted to try something that played quicker and felt more like the TTRPGs I love so much. I was happy to find Little Glade Guardian, because it met my criteria perfectly! With just 2 d6 and 1 d20, a piece of paper, and a pen, I was able to sit down and play my first round in 10 minutes, and after, I immediately chose another character and went again!

I love that this game features stats, and has events that change their modifiers. The game isn't so complicated that it gets boring, and the element of chance means that no two games play quite the same.

For the avid journaler, I definitely believe you could easily turn this into a journal-based RPG with minor modifications! I myself plan to give it a try, allowing random dice rolls to determine how the game progresses, then write about each encounter after they've resolved.

This is a game that I foresee I'll play often. I look forward to the next AP. release, and will be following her work closely!
