I streamed the ending of this with a friend very into card games and we both were laughing so hard at the humor of this game. I was not expecting to be this engrossed in this series and I am so badly wanting to see what the third one involves. I mainly come into this from a phoenix wright view point and I love the cross examination music and many of the things with that. The in court characters have so much personality (The judge especially), and it is great to feel genuinely interested in what a character is gonna say with their twists and be very invested in the relationships. I am disappointed by the technical choice of having Nina only say "hold it" on the right options though and until the very last option it felt somewhat hand holdy with being very obviously saying "Oh something feels off about this specific statement". Final very specific nitpick is that I wish the textbox with "Witness Testimony" had a different sound effect from the normal text scrolling, but I don't know Game Maker and how possible that would be to do. None of this hampered my enjoyment of the writing and humour of the game though. This was absolutely worth 5 stars for the writing alone. It is very impressive what the author was able to do with the Game Maker engine.
