msmsneilio rated Abyssal Lust

A browser game made in HTML5.

This is a really slow burn, at least on the VN story mode, but the wait is worth it! I've really enjoyed the story so far in my playthru. I've already put 3 hours or more into the web version, and it's been stable the entire time.

I feel like the plot is all over the place, but that's probably more of an indictment of the mode I chose to play rather than how the game would develop more organically in the sandbox mode.

My minor complaints are that:

1. The MC is repetitive. He'll often repeat himself within a few sentences, saying the same thing over and over. This was especially evident with Mint's scene in the Devil's Lair.

2. Some of the scenes are well written, if a little tedious, (Mia at work, for instance), while other scenes feel like they were written by AI. During Mint's scene at Devil's Lair, the text kept switching from 1st person to 3rd which was jarring. Candy's scene at DL just had some minor grammatical issues.

3. Overall, the English version has lots of small grammatical and sentence structure errors. Not enough to detract from the story, but they're noticeable.

4. The MC fluctuates wildly from being seemingly competent to just... bad at his job because of how poorly he deals with people.

Still, I'd rate what I've played so far as 9.5/10! This game is worth the time I've put in and then some.
