This is, by far, the most curious and satisfying Cinderella retelling I have encountered, down to each detail, from the writing style and choices to the music, misunderstandings, and main/side characters. 

I read it quite a few times many years ago and I simply had to come back to reread it. It is that good. I hope this masterpiece never gets forgotten!
