While the world of North-of-Moon can be identified as an MMO game world at first glance, the way it's contructed in conjunction with the main character's life - from a childish game world played in godmode - to Ilmari seeking ever greater challenges as he gets older and even facing his unresolved homosexuality in his own fantasy world - elivates the VN to something remarkably smart.
