EDIT: Added the 5th star back since you immediately addressed the concerns I - and from how I understood your easy mode post - also others voiced.
I've been following this game pretty much since it first released on itch and it's been one of my favourites all along. But now I sadly need to subtract a star from my rating due to the pointless stat grind you added this patch. I don't see any value in a stat grind that rewards decaying stats, meaning I need to redo the grind over and over again as the game progresses. It makes me want to minimize the amount of ingame time that passes just so I can minimize the stat loss. The moment I saw that decaying stat bullshit I lost all interest in doing the new optional side-quests. Not only is the grind itself boring as all hell (it forces me to spend a bunch of ingame days confined in the MC's room to max out these stats by clicking the same buttons over and over with nothing interesting whatsever happening), but I also know it's a never-ending grind because I will start to lose those stats if I don't keep doing that training over and over again every 3 ingame days. It it a massive waste of the player's time and doesn't add any gameplay value whatsoever.
The only way to really work with this kind of crappy system is to either constantly waste time on the mind-numbing grind to keep those stats capped or I don't train them at all until a quest ingame needs them. Then I bump em up for the quest and let them decay after, knowing full well I will have to spend another few ingame days grinding them back up when I need them the next time. Neither approach is desirable in any way and demotivates me from playing.
I have no intention of stopping to follow the game since it's still one of my favourites, but this update has certainly made me look forward to new updates a lot less. Please roll back this system since it does nothing but waste the time of your players. I've seen too many visual novel/sandbox games kill themselves off by adding pointless grinds nobody asked for and I really do not want to see this game go down the same road to hell.
As for some positive feedback:
I like that we finally get into the conflict between the royal sisters and learn more about the overall situation of the kingdom (king is gone, but not confirmed dead and for some reason he made very sure that Kat doesn't end on the throne despite her seeming way better suited for it than her sister at first glance. This hints at something the king knows - either about the larger world situation or about Kat that player/MC doesn't know about yet and I look forward to finding out).
I also quite like the developing dynamic between Kat and the MC (she's shaping up to be my favourite character).
