I can always get down with some cute arcade action, and this game  filled that role really well! 

Firstly, the presentation was FANTASTIC! Everything just screamed polished and charming at nearly every point visually.  Music was generally solid. The main character Ipo was adorable and charming, especially the 3D models on the results screens, really loved the guy. After giving each mode a shot, I can safely say Arcade is by far my favorite mode. The power ups just make for constantly engaging moments. Classic Mode was also fun, and a pretty good place to start off  for just learning the basics. 

I have a few complaints: for one, no full screen mode is such a shame. The game looks so good, yet I cant get a closer look at it, so unfortunate. There are a few small balancing issues I had with the game. In Classic, I really wish a few of the power ups from Arcade mode carried over. Survial is BRUTAL as all hell, which is funny, but I also cant see any of he bombs coming, and they just start off at near max speed. This can be said for all game modes, sometimes I just felt like I got unlucky and some SUPER LARGE fast bombs spawned in near the very start, and I wouldnt be quick enough to evade them. Really feel the bombs shouldve scaled and sped up at a more gradual pace. 

Lastly, and this isnt a problem with the game itself, but the browser version for some reason begins to LAG really bad. Even after exiting a mode, it keeps the lag and continues to drop frames and slows down to a crawl. Guess it makes it easier to react to stuff, but I figured I'd bring it up. I did download the title and never saw this issue again, but for browser specific players, it might be important to note. 

With all that being said, I thought this game was really good! Super happy to see a fellow game dev release a title, no matter how small, and if this is the quality I can expect going forward, I'll make sure to stick around! I give it a 3.5/5 but obvs Itch dont let you do that.
