spicygamethunder rated Headspun: Dazed Edition

A downloadable game for Windows.

An adventure game with FMV sequences by Wales Interactive, Headspun has you playing as Ted, one of a few sentient personalities within the mind of Theo. Something happened to Theo and you have to figure how to repair all the damage in his brainspace.

At least that's the first impression. You'll end up doing quite a bit managing Theo's recovery similar to a turn based survival game like Sheltered or This War of Mine. After everyday or two, you'll have new FMV cutscenses with additional tasks or unlocks to check out.

Outside of the FMV, the art is similar to some of the output from the band, Gorillaz. It works for what it is, I just wish the non-FMV characters were more expressive.

I have run into some odd behaviors though, menus can seem to get buggy when using a controller. One mini game was actually obstructed from working because team members wouldn't leave the room. Subtitles at the end of a scene don't go away after the scene is over. Nothing game breaking but annoying nonetheless.

Headspun's story isn't some elaborate epic but it's a simple tale told well with the use of FMV. I beat it in one sitting in about 4 hours and it's not a bad choice if your looking for a short, but complete game to finish in a day.
