TyView rated Only Faces Remain

TyView rated a game 137 days ago
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux.

To get straight to the point, this game didn't stick with me long (writing this review 3 days after upload) I say that to say I usually like to start by talking about the very first thing that comes to mind when starting the review. The fact that it didn't stick long isn't necessarily a bad thing especially sense it's advertised as a short indie experience anyway but for some reason that still was the first thing that came to my mind. I didn't quite have a grasp of what was happening while playing the game and I doubt you could follow what was happening while watching the video, but I still don't think this game is bad.

The elephant in the room. If you click on the video and watch the first 30 secs you can tell this game got me pretty bad, now is that the reason for keeping me from saying this game is terrible? I don't think so. This game has times where the atmosphere is setup perfectly and it does it very quickly at times. One minute the game is a bit more goofy then you remember then next, you are too afraid to turn around.

This game might have done this amazingly now that I'm sitting here typing this out. It almost feels like a nothing game but that in itself sets you up for a handful of great scares.

I think the pacing also helps in this regard. Like I said in the first paragraph, I have absolutely no clue what this game was about and I felt lost at times but those moments only lasted for seconds then we were off to are next scare or setup for a scare.

I don't quite know what I would change or add/subtract from this. It kind of is it's own thing and it's hard to say rather something could improve it or should be taken out. This one should just be experienced as is so you can get the shnit scared out of you at the end.
