I enjoy tactical card games so I downloaded this one off of that alone, that and the game store page looks pretty legit. I was surprised to find out that it was more of a rock, paper, scissor style game which put me off at first but when I got into it everything started to click. This is a full on chance game with power play cards to add a bit of strategy.
I try to give pros and cons when I leave reviews for a game but in this case there isn't really anything bad to say so I'll just mention the things that stood out the most.
this game has a bit of a dark feel and that long corridor bit at the beginning adds to the style and atmosphere. It's not to long it's just perfect enough for a first time though to set the stage as well as not to bad on multiple playthroughs.
The mechanics feel pretty tight and it doesn't take very long to figure out what's going on, I mean it took me a min to figure things but that's besides the point.
There is one thing though, I think you should do something different with the adding bullets at the beginning of the round, that mechanic feels a bit empty. I mean I guess you can set the pace of that round with this mechanic but still it feels almost like nothing. My brain is telling me maybe make it so you can play the bullet in a specific spot, which seems a bit op but I guess that all depends on the cards but without the in mind for a min...
This would be perfect if you were playing multiplayer, maybe you get few bullets to insert, maybe you only get one per round and you can place it anywhere in the chamber. You would try to kind of play around that placement while your opponent tries to play around theirs while there was another one that was placed in there by the house. This creates more tense as you try to race to your round not knowing where theirs is and you won't even be guaranteed to get to shoot your round. Maybe your opponent figures out where you placed it and just tries to stop you. I don't I just try to give ideas if I'm going to say something should be different.
Anyway this is a great game and I'll keep my eye out from when the full version comes out.
