had fun with this; im not the greatest with trpg stuff (never was good with fire emblem) so the death note was a fun addition; i did try to do many of the levels myself and whenever i started losing too many heroines, i would switch to the death note and win that way
i do like how the plot weaves together logically in a story sense, but as an eroge, there is a bit to be desired. most of the spice is inbetween chapters in the village or the town lord's hall, which is fine, but i do wish it would tie into the main story more.
id say my favorite arc was the vibrant town arc, esp when all the girls were stolen from us, that was probably the best (and most arousing) moment for me. other arcs after that didnt have the spice i was looking for, with the "capture a girl every other chapter" rhythm we got into.
i was hoping the finale would have that spice, esp as a bad ending for not completing the narrative progress, but when i tested that, all that happened was i was barred from beating the game; if i didnt have a second save, i would have been so screwed. as for the actual finale, it was left a lil open ended for my tastes; the final cutscene was okay, but there wasnt anything that signified it being the end.
not a big fan of how stupid the mc is; i hoped, even when given his backstory, that he would have one or two competent moments, but i guess that's an appeal all on its own? idk i never like infantilization of the player/audience so thats prob a personal thing
the character progression was fun and did lead to many fun events. all the pet play with syndicate descendant, port bunny's switchup from suspicion to yandere "guardian", woodland huntress was a fun character all throughout the game, company supplier is a fun guide, too. i do wish we got more time with the last three characters; but i suppose being introduced so late into the plot comes with some downsides. each character had a unique story and distinct personality that even with all the characters in the harem, it didnt really confuse me. (i did get confused at the requirements for harbor blacksmith bc i assumed that i needed to get knight adjutant instead of knight commander up, because they were friends beforehand.)
for the side quests, the bones ones were very helpful, even if i ended up spamming the death note in the main missions most of the time. i really enjoyed the maid memories, watching them get captured was fun (and arousing). as for the rest, i dont remember them too well, except remembering that the syndicate descendant one was way too hard lol (its just a skill issue dont take that as a criticism). the puzzles in the shrine were fun, so theres that.
overall, a fun experience; i dont regret downloading it, but theres a few things here and there that could be improved when moving forward. in a gameplay sense, this is fun. in a story sense, i just wish there was more of that mind control spice in the main story, but all the side content is more than worth it.
