A vn that sometimes (from what I have seen) is described as DDLC but with Cannibalism, but Cooking Companions is very much its own thing with how it handles its horror, art and characters. Firstly, Cooking Companions drops its cute dating sim act and dives headfirst into the horror fairly quickly compared to DDLC, as well as this, it's creepy/scary artwork/sprites are scary in a different way to DDLC, they are unsettling in a more uncanny or "traditional" horror way. The story is also very deep and full of a lot of secrets and in my opinion it takes multiple playthroughs to get a clear image on what exactly happened and who everyone is really. 

However, if you enjoyed DDLC for its cute/horror contrast or bait and switch and want to play more psychological horror visual novels like that (or even haven't played DDLC but enjoy horror vns) then I can't recommend this enough!
