I love Nanami and love the opportunity to change the ending of his story, but I found the jump between the wedding and the bedroom to be extremely sudden and jarring. I sat on this for a while after playing and gave it a lot of thought. There was no buildup to the Blessing like in previous stories where there was an obvious and satisfying tension between the characters. The story here is sweet (the Blessed ending specifically) and there's an undercurrent of anxiety and fear of abandonment and loss that's resolved in the Blessed ending, but in a very matter-of-fact way with the a lovely wedding and sex immediately afterwards. No conversation, no leadup, just BAM! Penetration.
Also, I was disappointed that Nanami didn't really have a distinct personality in the bedroom. He's a stern, thoughtful man that softens and opens up as your relationship develops, but in the bedroom, it being the climax (hah) of the relationship, he's neither dominant nor soft as his character and development would have you come to expect. The Blessing itself reads as more of a pornography script. There isn't any of the sweetness from before, nor is there an acknowledgement of a relief and release from that anxiety and fear. It's not the grounding moment of a physical expression of love and dedication that I hoped for. I guess the wedding was supposed to serve that purpose, but that left the Blessing feeling shallow and empty. The animation was also awkward, his facial expressions were just as empty and hollow as the moment itself.
The heartwarming moment of the wedding immediately leading to a quick lay (and the lay itself being extremely awkward) didn't feel intimate, special or rewarding and while I'm happy to pay for the Full Blessings as a requirement moving forward, I'm hopeful that this was just an unfortunate piece in an otherwise excellent collection of Blessings. I was extremely excited for Nanami's story and was left disappointed, it just doesn't feel like it given the same care as Gojo's, Geto's, Choso's or Sakuna's. While I understand that it may never happen, I can't help but to ask if Nanami's story could be revisited and reworked in the future? I'd even pay for another iteration of his story that rectifies some of the issues! I'd just hate to leave poor Nanami with another underwhelming ending to his story.
