(Couldn't download it, so I watched a playthrough, but) God DAMN that voice actor had BILLS 👏 TO 👏 PAY 👏

On the surface, the 4th wall breaking may make the message feel a bit cheap by lowering the stakes (the money the player needs really means nothing to them in the end, so torturing Harvey just a pointless endeavour), but I think there's an extra layer there. Well meaning people are open to be exploited if they aren't careful, and powerful people can use their naivety just to line their pockets even further.

This game shows the worst case scenario of this, where Harvey's health, or even his life, is used like a disposable tool just to fuel the wealth of the player, who is revealed to never truly be in need in the first place.

This is the most I've ever thought about an Itch.io game.
