The Black Iris is all about its ambiance. The retro vibes (present in graphics, gameplay, and probably other aspects I missed) do a lot of the heavy lifting. It's technically an adventure game where you have to find a bunch of objects, but there aren't really any puzzles. I knew what happened during the ending, with my only real surprise being that I have no idea what motivated my character to do what they did other than because I as the player thought it would be fun to see what happened if I tried. That said, it's about a 20 minute experience. Give it a go.
