Wickedly captures the feel of the Williams-type arcade games of the late '70's and very early '80's (a favorite era of mine). The controls are tight, the animation, sounds, and even the music are spot-on. The alphabetical "spell" controls are a brilliant innovation (although it takes some time to figure out and remember what "spell" does what). I docked it one star because the level designs are repetitive and most battles with enemies tend to be of the "mash-the-controls-and-pray-while-running-away" variety. However, there's so much greatness about it, including how well it's been programmed that It's definitely a keeper, and Dene is obviously an indie developer to keep an eye out for.
