Spoilers ahead:

2 things I'd have prefered different. First show the king's tyrany. Have Ithane have a servant with miner's lung who Ithane rescued from the tyrant king's magic ore mine. Or have them fly over a work camp as she's spiriting the princess back to her lair. Or even a village of sickly thin people while the princess recalls lavish feasts in her honor. To quote something a wise woman said a long time ago: There's a reason we see Alderaan destroyed by Darth Vader and its one of the first things he does in the movie.

Second, I don't see why an eldrich entity would "like/adore" a mortal. I can understand it getting pissed at the king for bending the rules of their bargain. But getting centimental kinda saps at the eldrich aspect.
